Why it exists

Written for the questions everyone asks first

I wrote these guides for the traders in my community, because the same questions kept coming up. Which contract should I pick? How much should I risk? Why did my option lose value when the stock went up?

Each guide takes one topic in plain English. Where there's math, it's worked out step by step. There are no signals, no stock picks and no promises about income. The goal is to understand what you're buying before you buy it.

Kel · More about me

Risk first

Know the worst case first

The options guides work out a trade's cost, break-even and worst-case loss, and the risk guide shows when the right size is zero.

Math on the page

Numbers, not just theory

Premium × 100, break-even, dollar risk per contract and the Greeks in dollars are worked through step by step.

Plain English

Checklists you can use

Step-by-step checklists for your first stock and option orders, and a table of checks to run before you pick a contract.

Curriculum

Two paths in

Start with the path that matches where you are, then move on to the guides on news, entries and psychology.

Path 1 · 4 guides

New to investing

Open and fund an account, place your first order, learn what's on the menu and research a company before you put money in.

Best if you've never placed a trade.

  1. 1

How to buy your first stock or option

Order types, the 100-share multiplier and a pre-trade checklist.

  2. 2

Types of stocks, ETFs and options

What each label in your broker app actually means.

  3. 3

How to research a stock before you buy

Revenue, margins, valuation and a thesis you can test.

  4. 4

Risk management, position sizing and scaling

Decide what you can lose before you decide what to buy.

Path 2 · 3 guides

Learning options

Calls, puts, strikes and expirations, then the quote screen and the Greeks, each one turned into dollars per contract.

Best if you own shares and want to understand options before you touch them.

  1. 1

    What are options

Cost, break-even and worst-case loss of a simple call.

  2. 2

How to read an option contract: the Greeks explained simply

Bid, ask, spread, open interest and delta through rho.

  3. 3

Risk management, position sizing and scaling

Why short-dated contracts can be too big for a small account.

Then · 3 guides

Read the market, and yourself

Look behind a headline, wait for a better entry, and spot the mental traps that turn a good plan into a bad trade.

Best once you've placed a few trades.

  • ◆

    How to analyze stock news

Why a stock can fall on good news, and four questions to ask.

  • ◆

Better entries with Fibonacci and market structure

Premium and discount zones, and waiting for confirmation.

  • ◆

    Trading psychology: the mental traps

FOMO, revenge trading and a 30-second check before each order.

Try one idea

Size a trade before you take it

The risk guide's main rule: decide the most you're willing to lose on one trade before you choose the trade. This sketch turns that limit into a contract count. Change the inputs and watch the size move.

An illustration for learning, not a recommendation. Prices can gap past a planned exit, so a real loss can be larger.

One contract puts $60 at risk if you exit at −50%, inside your $100 limit.

FAQ

Questions, answered

What happens after I pay?

Stripe sends you straight to your access page, which opens the Academy in Notion. Bookmark that page, because it's your way back in. Stripe also emails your receipt.

Do I need a Notion account?

No. The Academy opens in any web browser on your phone or computer. You don't need to sign up for anything to read it.

I've never traded. Is this for me?

Yes. The "New to investing" path starts with opening a brokerage account. The options path assumes nothing either, but options carry more risk, so give them more time before you use real money.

Which broker do the guides use?

The ideas work at any broker. The first-order guide walks through a few common apps as examples, and none of them is an endorsement.

Will this make me money?

No course can promise that, and this one doesn't. Trading carries real risk, and losses happen even to careful traders. The Academy helps you understand what you're buying, size it sensibly and avoid common mistakes.

Is this financial advice?

No. It's general education. Nothing in the Academy is a recommendation to buy or sell anything, and none of it considers your personal situation.

Can I get a refund?

All sales are final. You get every guide the moment you pay, so purchases can't be refunded. Every guide and what it covers is listed above, so you can check what's inside first. If you're charged twice, or you can't get into the Academy and I can't fix it, email me and I'll make it right. The refund policy has the details.

I lost my access link.

Email floretta.studio@icloud.com from the address you used at checkout, and I'll send it again.

Can I share it with a friend?

Each purchase is a personal license, so please don't share your access link or copy the guides elsewhere. Send your friend this page instead.
